Select the proposals that are live on a job and Tekdek sums revenue from them and cost of goods from the quotes attached to them. Both come off the same selection, so they cannot diverge.
Gross profit and margin update as scope changes.
A proposal with no scope attached shows its cost as unknown rather than as zero. You are never looking at a hundred percent margin because something did not load.
WHEN THE INVOICE COMES BACK
What you actually paid.
Upload the vendor document. Tekdek reads it and derives actual material cost against that job.
Actual revenue, actual material, actual labor, and other costs sit beside the projected numbers. The variance is visible instead of implied.
Cost buckets with nothing in them yet are marked. Margin shows a dash until everything resolves, not a number built on half the data.

In most software, estimating and job costing are two systems that meet in a report. The estimate lives in one place, the actual cost lives in accounting, and the comparison happens weeks later if anyone does it.
